The Mobile Food Truck from the Houston Food Bank will be back in town Saturday, March 21! Being a part of something as vital as feeding neighbors is more rewarding than one can imagine. Come join Huntsville JSL and our partner, Huntsville Church of Christ, in banning together to serve those who need a helping hand.
In addition to receiving free fresh fruits and vegetables, those in attendance can take advantage of free medical screenings should they wish. Huntsville Memorial and SHSU health organizations will be on hand to perform medical screenings and provide information about healthy choices and lifestyle practices. Some free health management equipment may be available as well.
There are many ways to help:
- Come and serve alongside the many volunteers of JSL, HCOC, HISD, SHSU Athletics, AOA, and many other community members.
- Save grocery bags and boxes for carrying food for each of the families who attend.
- Share this flyer with other friends who may wish to volunteer and those who may need a helping hand.
Registration begins at 9:00am at Huntsville Church of Christ on March 21. The food truck should arrive between 9:30-10:00am. The food distribution will begin as soon as the truck is unloaded.
JSL volunteers will prepare for the day beginning at 8:00am. Community volunteers should arrive at 9:00am.
