The Fourth Annual Mother of Pearl Brunch was such a beautiful event! The decorating committee did an amazing job creating lovely table centerpieces with an emphasis on Proverbs 31:10 “…she is worth far more than rubies.”
JSL member, Kristal, generously donated handmade lavender soaps for each attendee to have as a gift from the league. Magnolia Mey Boutique provided a bonus gift of their ever popular Sweet Grace votive candle to all ladies sitting at sponsor tables.
League members worked together to design fantastic auction and raffle items for our guests! This year, we had incredibly unique items such as a skydiving basket, a premium Jimmy Buffet concert experience, a Moscow Mule Basket, estate planning and will preparation, teeth whitening package, overnight stays at LaTorretta Spa and the Hilton Houston Post Oak. Other amazing items included a concert picnic basket to Bernhardt Winery, a handcrafted wine rack and gift certificate to Froggy Wines, a mother-daughter baking basket, a movie night basket, gymnastic classes, personal training classes, smores basket with two kids’ Adirondack chairs, beauty basket, and Painting with a Twist basket.
Our guest speakers Sarah Bass and Kim Sanders were awesome and inspiring! Both ladies are sustaining members of the league and still involved in the JSL community events. Sarah started the backpack and food truck projects in 2012 and shared her passion and pride in the impact the league makes by feeding those in need. Kim is on the board of the Care Center (previously the Pregnancy Care Center) and shared stories of the overwhelming happiness of the ladies who have attended our Sip & See Baby Shower. These ladies reminded us all of our purpose in helping this community.
During the speakers, our youngest guests enjoyed time making their very own bracelets.
In addition to our UnoDe50 pearl and silver set, we also had 5 raffle items. The winners of our Makeup Junkie bag, Initial Outfitters Bracelet, Trades of Hope jewelry set, Unique Tan basket and Fritsch custom canvas art were all smiles by the end of the event! The biggest winner, Lindsay Short was not in attendance, but will surely be beautiful in the UnoDe50 set she won!!
Huntsville JSL is so appreciative of everyone who supported our Spring fundraiser which brought in over $9,400! Those funds will be used to continue to make Walker County even better!
Thank you to our sponsors!!
We hope to see you at next year’s 5th Annual Mother of Pearl Brunch & Auction!
