The Fifth Annual Mother of Pearl Brunch was such a beautiful event! The fundraiser is a wonderful event for mothers, daughters, grandmothers, sisters and friends. Because of the money raised through the event, raffle, and auction, Huntsville JSL is able to continue community service projects such as Food Truck, Santa Shop, Care Center Sip and See, Head Start Feed-a-family and so much more.
Our talented ladies on the decorating committee did an outstanding job of transforming the room into a lovely garden party. Blue and white china was accented with beautiful pink and white flowers and vibrant greenery.
On top of beautiful flowers, the tables were dressed with a sweet gift of bath salts for each guest as a thank you gift for supporting the league. Those in attendance at the sponsor tables took home a bath bomb donated by Simply B at Home.
League members worked together to design fantastic auction and raffle items for our guests to bid upon. We had a beautiful spa basket filled with aromatic lavender, a legal will preparation, teeth whitening package, skydiving gift certificate, custom painting, wooden farmhouse trivet, Sangria basket, fairy garden, custom pencil drawing, concealed hand gun classes, and much more.
Aramark’s Classic Fare Catering created a masterpiece of their very own too! Our guests enjoyed a yummy brunch of Quiche Lorraine, grilled ham, herb roasted potatoes, fresh fruit, and English Muffins. It was gorgeous as well as scrumptious!
Our guest speakers Kris Crocker shared her experiences as a member of JSL over the last seven years and the impact volunteering has had in her own life. She gave a heartfelt account which was inspiring to all in attendance.
During the speakers, our youngest guests enjoyed time making their very own fairy gardens with their choice of seeds in colorful pots.
Thanks to MC Dance, these young ladies also received a party favor of their own! These adorable hair ties will be perfect for keeping hair stylish this summer!
Thank you to all who purchased raffle tickets for the stunning Waxing Poetic Pearl Trio Set donated by Walker County Ace Hardware! The winner, Jackalyn, will be happily sporting the gorgeous set around town!
Kelsey Kilgore graciously donated her services for our photobooth. The pictures are available for review and download at this LINK. Enter your email and the passcode of 7608 for access.
Thank you to our sponsors!! We could not continue the projects and community service without a successful fundraiser and their contributions are so very appreciated!
We sure hope to see you all next year! With much love, JSL 2018
