Food truck was a big success and loads of fun!

Today was a fantastic day for giving away free food! The Houston Food Bank brought an 18 wheeler full of groceries to Huntsville.  We were blessed to pass out many food items such as watermelon, ham, potatoes, bananas, tomatoes, milk, juice, pickles, oranges and more! Over 130 families were in attendance and able to take home full baskets of food to help stock their refrigerators.

We are thankful for the support of Huntsville Church of Christ for opening their doors to the community and to HEB for allowing us to borrow grocery carts to help our guests easily get the food to their cars. We are grateful for all the groups who joined us in serving today…Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity from SHSU, Mance Park Cheerleaders, the Walker County LEO Club, Braham National Honors Society, and many community volunteers! Without the help of the community, we could not provide this much needed service.  Mark your calendar for the next delivery date of October 20th!
