Volunteering at the Food Truck is lots of FUN and IMPACTFUL beyond measure!

Thanks to all who came out yesterday to volunteer!  With a different location and different way of working, we really needed each and every one of your hands!

In just a few short hours, we were able to serve 10 tons of food to 137 families.  The families in attendance, were able to take home deli meat, milk, spaghetti squash, rice and beans, cereal, oranges, cabbage and bottled water to stock their pantries and refrigerators! This would not have been possible without all the amazing, hard-working volunteers!

We are thankful to Alpha Omega Academy for opening their doors to the community and to Huntsville Memorial Hospital for providing educational information about stroke prevention.

We are appreciative of all the groups who joined us in serving today…National Organization of Hispanics in Criminal Justice from SHSU, Alpha Omega Academy, HHS TAFE, the Walker County LEO Club, Braham National Honors Society, HHS Spanish Honors Society and many community volunteers! Without the help of the community, we could not provide this much needed service.

Mark your calendar for December 1st for the next Mobile Food Truck event!
