Join us for our Sixth Annual Mother of Pearl on Sunday, February 24th at 2:00pm at the Walker Education Center. This year’s event will be a high tea on a Sunday afternoon and will be absolutely lovely! Tickets are on sale now for only $25. Be sure to reserve your spot today by contacting any JSL member or emailing JSLMotherofPearl@gmail.com.
The event will begin with a silent auction, social time, and smiles at the photo booth. Following the auction, guests will enjoy a delicious high tea served by JSL members. Our youngest guests will create a fun craft in our children’s activity area while our fabulous speaker, Laura Dougherty, shares her experiences as a former JSL President and member. Just before we send everyone out into the world inspired to serve, we will draw the winner of the gorgeous Waxing Poetic jewelry set generously donated by Walker County Ace Hardware.
The Mother of Pearl event is a wonderful time for bonding with other ladies and perfect for mothers and daughters too! Not only will you create memories with your favorite ladies, but the event is also our largest fundraiser of the year. The success of this event, allows us to continue to serve Walker County through projects such as the Mobile Food Truck, Santa Shop, Head Start Feed-a-Family, the room renovation at the Good Shepherd Mission, delivery of Valentines gifts to a local nursing home, meal service at the Special Kids Rodeo and much more. We also donate to other local nonprofit organizations such as the SAAFE House, YMCA, Special Olympics, and more. In the last 40 years, JSL has contributed over $250,000 to our community.
We look forward to your attendance and support of this amazing event which would not be possible without our generous sponsors. We are so grateful to… HEB of Huntsville, Bill Fick Ford, Copeland Family Dentistry, Holly Water Wells, Katie Fritsch Art, Century 21 Alpha Associates, The Ark Church, Homeland Properties, Walker County Ace Hardware, and Magnolia Mey Boutique!
