Arise2Read is a literacy program that allows volunteers from various churches, local businesses, and civic clubs to take an active role in the lives of children by spending time assisting them with reading. Improving reading skills of low income students by the end of third grade increases their graduation rate to 89 percent. The organization is doing amazing work in Huntsville schools!
They are currently working to raise funds to create backpacks full of books to send home with every 2nd grade student in Huntsville Independent School District to promote reading throughout the summer.
