The Sixth Annual Mother of Pearl Tea was such a lovely event! The decorations committee did an outstanding job of creating the feel of an English garden tea right in the middle of Huntsville, Texas! A private collection of tea pots and tea cups paired with floral arrangements made the design both formal and modern at the same time.

In addition to the beautiful flowers, the tables were dressed with a dainty vintage tea spoon and tea bag for each guest to take as a memento.  The guests at sponsor tables also received a delicate pair of earrings from Magnolia Mey Boutique.

Our guests found themselves bidding on some truly fantastic auction items such as a custom home sketch, Chef’s table experience at Damians’s, margarita basket, Board & Brush basket, garden basket, skydiving experience, Bloody Mary basket, gourmet coffee basket, holiday wreaths, spa basket, ice cream sundae basket, MC Dance package, hair styling basket, custom painting, breakfast basket and more. Nearly $2000 was raised through our silent auction!

The guests in attendance enjoyed hearing of the impact and experiences of former JSL President, Laura Dougherty.  Her passion for volunteering, Walker County and JSL was evident to all! While Laura inspired the ladies to follow their own passions, our younger guests had a ball decorating their very own tea mugs!

Thank you to all who purchased raffle tickets for the stunning Waxing Poetic Pearl Trio Set donated by Walker County Ace Hardware! The winner, Renee, will be happily sporting the gorgeous set around town!
